“Pioneering is exciting. Pioneering is dangerous. Pioneering is lonely. Pioneering requires an investment. Pioneering requires perseverance. Pioneering requires hope. Pioneers break new ground. Pioneers overcome obstacles. Pioneers change the world. In a world of accelerating change, we are all pioneers.” – from the book.
I am excited about the release of my good friend and one of my valued mentor’s book today. The book is called Pioneering in the 21st Century: Survival Skills for the Transformation Generation.
Since the summer of 2011, I have had the distinct pleasure to travel the world with Mike McCausland to tag team audiences on the topics of Accelerating Change and The Mindset of Social Media.
During our 4 hour sessions, Mike would launch with his (what I call) “Do you want to know more?” presentation on Accelerating Change which covers mind boggling breakthroughs. I always get a kick out of watching the reaction from the audience when he shares about nanotechnology, invisibility cloaks, growing fish in petri dishes, and 3D printers. Mike then also covers catastrophic breakdowns that we are beginning to increasingly experience in this day and age. Frankly, it is not only one of the most fascinating presentations I have ever experienced, it is also one that is absolutely critical.
With knowledge on planet Earth doubling every 72 hours, how will one keep up, let alone survive?
This book will give you the survival skills to navigate the road ahead.
Mike is very widely respected around the globe and is a voice that needs to be heard.
Here is a brief snippet from his bio: Michael currently serves as the Executive Director for Humanitarian International Services Group (HISG). He comes to HISG with an extensive background in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors of business. Licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to operate and manage commercial nuclear power plants, Michael forged out to form an independent consulting company in 1985. Since that time, he has provided support services to over 50% of the operating nuclear power plants in the United States. He specializes in large-scale culture transformation, strategy development, business planning, and organizational structure and process.
I am personally grateful for my friendship with Mike. I consider him a mentor and a brother. Please check out this new book, which he is giving away for free. Just click the picture above and sign up for your copy. Also, join the dialogue on Facebook as Mike combines thoughts from his book as well as critical current event posts that you might not see elsewhere.
“Like it or not, our accelerating world is becoming flatter, smaller, and a whole lot more connected. As such, we are all being pushed into pioneering. On a daily basis we are all entering unchartered waters. We are all going where none have gone before. There is no precedence for today. There is no history we can look back on to gauge the future, or find comfort in projectable trends. We are surfing a tsunami of change that is wiping out reality, as we perceive it, and leaving in its wake a world of chaos and confusion, a world of opportunities and possibilities. There is no going back. We are now past the point of no return.” – from the book.
Here are some short videos for you to watch to get an overview of his book…
